Please read these Terms carefully before using Mnemosine. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1) Who we are
Mnemosine is a home inventory and insurance management app that lets you organise belongings, capture receipts via OCR, track expenses, and generate insurance claim packs. The service is operated under the Keevaq / Mnemosine project.

2) Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Mnemosine. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3) Account and security
- You sign in via Apple or Google — we do not store passwords.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account.
- You must notify us at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorised access.
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
4) Free plan and limits
The free plan includes:
- 1 inventory with up to 20 items.
- 3 OCR receipt scans per calendar month.
- Basic expense tracking (no CSV export).
We may adjust free plan limits with reasonable notice. If limits change materially, we will communicate this in-app or by email.
5) Mnemosine Pro subscription
- Product name: Mnemosine Pro.
- Subscription lengths: Monthly or Annual, auto-renewing.
- Price: displayed in the app before purchase and may vary by country.
- Free trial: available where shown in the app at the time of purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Billing is managed entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment card details.
- To cancel, manage, or request a refund for a subscription, go to iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy. We cannot issue refunds directly.
- If your subscription lapses, your data is preserved but Pro features become inaccessible until renewed.
6) Your content
- You retain ownership of all content you upload or create (inventories, receipts, photos, notes).
- You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service to you.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you submit.
- We do not use your content for advertising or share it with third parties beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.
7) Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Upload content that is fraudulent, defamatory, or that infringes third-party rights.
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits, abuse the OCR or API systems, or interfere with the service's infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
- Use automated tools to scrape or access the service beyond normal use.
8) Intellectual property
The Mnemosine / Keevaq name, logo, app design, and original content are owned by the project owner. Nothing in these terms grants you a right to use our trademarks or branding without written permission.
9) Disclaimers
- The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- OCR extraction is automated and may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying extracted data before relying on it for insurance claims or financial decisions.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service.
- Mnemosine is not a financial adviser, insurance broker, or legal professional. Nothing in the app constitutes professional advice.
10) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mnemosine / Keevaq and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of an insurance claim.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €10, whichever is greater.
11) Termination
- You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion by emailing [email protected].
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
- Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12) Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
13) Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you may close your account before the new terms apply.
